ESIC Strengthens Worker Welfare, Launches 40+ Health Screening Programme

Greater Noida News (09/06/2026): In a significant move aimed at enhancing employee welfare and strengthening social security coverage, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) organized an interactive session with industrial representatives and entrepreneurs at its Sub-Regional Office in Noida on Monday. The meeting was led by Pranay Sinha, Insurance Commissioner, ESIC, who visited the office as part of his engagement with stakeholders from the industrial sector.

The interaction brought together representatives from various industries, entrepreneurs, and office bearers of the Noida Chapter of the Indian Industries Association (IIA). The gathering served as an important platform for dialogue between ESIC officials and industry stakeholders on issues related to employee welfare, social security benefits, healthcare services, and regulatory compliance.

During the programme, Pranay Sinha highlighted ESIC’s ongoing efforts to modernize its services and expand healthcare facilities for insured workers. He provided detailed insights into the provisions of the newly introduced Labour Codes, particularly those concerning social security, health protection, and employee welfare. He also explained how these reforms are expected to impact establishments covered under the ESIC framework and contribute to a more efficient and inclusive social security system.

A major announcement made during the interaction was the launch of comprehensive health check-up facilities for ESIC-insured workers aged above 40 years at ESIC Hospital, Noida. Stressing the importance of preventive healthcare, Sinha encouraged employers and employees to actively utilize the facility. He noted that regular health screenings would help in the early diagnosis and effective management of various medical conditions, thereby improving the overall health and productivity of the workforce.

Industry representatives used the opportunity to raise several concerns and suggestions related to ESIC services, compliance procedures, and operational issues faced by employers and employees. Sinha listened attentively to the feedback and assured participants that ESIC remains committed to resolving genuine concerns and continuously improving service delivery mechanisms for all stakeholders.

The session was widely appreciated by participants for its informative and constructive nature. It reflected ESIC’s proactive approach towards engaging with industry, promoting worker welfare, and strengthening the social security ecosystem in the country.

Among the senior officials present on the occasion were Narendra Mohan Ojha, Joint Director, Piyush Joshi, Deputy Director, and Alok Choudhary, Assistant Director, ESIC, along with other officers of the ESIC Sub-Regional Office, Noida. The meeting concluded on a positive note, reaffirming ESIC’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with industry and ensuring better healthcare and social security benefits for the workforce.
