EVERYTHING ABOUT WATER EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE STARTED
11th edition of the EverythingAboutWater Expo & Conference, 2014 started today at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla. Supported by the Ministry of Urban Development and Delhi Jal Board the event is organised by EA Water Pvt Ltd and is co-organised by ASSOCHAM.

The event which is termed as South Asia’s Largest water event was inaugurated by our
Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development Dr. Sudhir Krishna, addressing the attendees form the water sector, end-user industries and the government segment, Mr Sudhir Krishna spoke of the varied initiatives of the Ministry for enhancing the water & wastewater management systems in the city. He says,” The water industry offers exciting opportunities. The Ministry has made special efforts to provide funding and resources to take ideas and new technologies for water & wastewater management ahead.” He further added that ‘the key areas for the MOUD are mobility planning, developing better sewage & drainage infrastructure management policies and enforcing local water reuse & recycling options to reduce the consumption of fresh water in the city. He complimented the organizers, participants and the delegates of the 11th EverythingAboutWater Expo 2014 to continuously create a platform that initiates a collaboration of the industry, government and the academia to meet the emerging challenges on water sustainability. The inaugural session was also graced by the presence of other key dignitaries namely Dr. Richard Woodling, Operating Partner CLSA capital partner, Singapore, Mr. Bhamble, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Greater Mumbai and Mr. Jos Paques, Founder Paques Holding.

Talking of the event, Niten Mehta, Global Head & CEO of EverythingAboutWater says, “For the past decade the event has grown with the aim of bringing global technologies under one roof. The endeavour is to bring all leading players of the sector and craft the perfect blend of technology providers, researchers & academicians and funding authorities to learn and share knowledge on water & wastewater management. Attendees have the opportunity to view exhibits on cost-effective technologies form around the world and at the same time consult experts on their water management issues.” He added, “The conference & training sessions and the latest launch of the Water Library are an extension of our effort of knowledge sharing for the users.”

The three day expo & conference comes across as a perfect networking platform to bring together buyer and sellers to discuss and deliberate on the latest technological advancements in the water sector. With participation from 200 national & international companies from across the globe the event will have exhibitors showcasing their expertise and products to over 16000 trade visitors and 250 conference delegates over the span of three days
