Fifteen firms get notices for littering roads

The Noida Authority on Monday issued notices to 15 companies located in the industrial belt of the city for littering the streets as part of its ongoing 15-day cleanliness drive. The move follows the Authority’s action against a dozen sanitation contractors, who were fined Rs 5,000 each for disposing of waste in places that were not marked for the purpose.

This is the first phase of the ‘Clean Noida’ drive. The drive will be clubbed with a campaign after July 4 to make use of the rains to develop green belts in the city.
