Fire officer arrested for committing fraud in providing NOC

Noida : Noida police arrested Kuldeep Singh, a fire officer, deployed at Fire station Phase 1 and a fire vendor involved in the ongoing fraud for giving NOC to the buildings.
The fraud came in light after a audio tape of fire vendor and fire officer went viral on the social media in May 2019 . When police investigated the matter, the tape was found to be authentic. After seeking permission from the administration , Noida police registered the FIR and arrest was made.
SSP Vaibhav Krishan told, “Its a whole nexus that is going on from one and half year since the whole process of taking fire NOC became online. There are various gangs involved in the nexus, who used to bypass the online system for taking NOC. They used to contact the person who needs NOC and place their own number instead of the applicant so that they can get info of the progress.”
Further he told, ” We had registered FIR against 13 fire vendor in seven different incidents. Soon we are expecting more arrest in the incident as we are investigating the matter.”
This arrest will be a big success in breaking such nexus, which affected various regions of Uttar Pradesh and put a rest on frauds in fire department from taking NOC .
