Aam Aadmi Party: Five questions to Mr. Arun jaitely

After the Aam Aadmi Party exposed rampant corruption in the DDCA yesterday, a desperate Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley launched a misinformation and falsehood campaign. Sunk neck deep in DDCA corruption, Mr. Jaitley had no satisfactory clarification to the documentary evidence of corruption put forth by the Aam Aadmi Party. We saw former BJP MP Mr. Chetan Chauhan, Modi Government’s HRD Minister Smt. Smriti Irani and then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley himself, first through a blog and then through a press conference, either using political rhetoric or plain falsehood to cover up DDCA scam under Mr. Jaitley which can also be called BJP’s Commonwealth Scam.

Today we ask five questions to Mr. Jaitley which clearly nails his lies in yesterday’s blog. These questions are specific, direct and to the point. We expect Mr. Jaitely to give a point-wise factual reply instead of misleading the nation once again with his half truths and beautiful lies.

Question 1:  Mr. Jaitley, yesterday you had claimed that no personal allegations had ever been made against you and, thus, you never felt it necessary to contradict them. Now plz tell, is it not true that MP from your own party Mr. Kiriti Azad wrote a letter to you on 13 September, 2015 and in this letter he wrote and I quote, ” Illegal corporate boxes were constructed and were sub leased to 10 corporate houses. A company close to you and your family, 21st Century was tasked to sell/sublease these boxes for 10 years at Rs 36 crore, for which a commission of Rs 5.4 crore was paid to the said company, even when it was commonly known that you had personally spoken with companies like ONGC to get them to illegally sub-lease these boxes, and that 21st Century had very little to do with sub-leasing these boxes, Why commission was paid to them is perhaps know to you only?

Is it not a personal allegations? Allegation is direct and serious? did you not lie yesterday in your blog that no personal allegation was ever made? Will you plz respond at least now  and explain what is your relationship with the company and people running it?

  1. Is it not true that you put pressure on ONGC to give a Rs 5 crore grant to Hockey India, and that too, after taking over as the Finance Minister of the country? Was it not a clear act of misconduct and corruption by you? This allegation was also made by BJP MP Mr. Kirti Azad? Will you at least now answer the question and make public who all in your family and relations benefited from Hockey India? Can you give a disclosure that none your family members or relations ever benefited from Hockey India in any capacity?

  1. Mr. Jaitly you claimed in your blog yesterday that the renovation of Feroz Shah Kotla Ground was done at the total cost of 114 crore rupees, though the initial tender was only for 24 crores. You lied through your teeth in your blog yesterday that these 114 crore rupees were paid to a PSU called EPIL. But Mr. Jaitly, the fact is that not 114 cr but only 57 crore rupees were paid to EPIL and rest of the money, i.e. 57 crore rupees was paid to private companies without any competitive bidding or tenders. These companies were hand picked. Will you plz explain your relationship with these companies? Is it not true that most of these companies were floated by the employees of the DDCA only and were fronts to syphon off DDCA’s money?

  1. Mr. Jaitly, DDCA’s fact finding committee has said that substantial payments were made to 9 companies which, on investigation, turned out to have the same registered office, same email IDs as well as common directors. Mr. Jaitley, you are one of the most eminent lawyers of the country. Did you find out the truth about this scam? did you find out who these companies belonged to and in whose pocket did this money go to? What would you call this, a scam or “procedural lapses” ?

  1. Mr. Jaitly, you resorted to falsehood by claiming that the FSIO report absolved you and minor technical and procedural lapses were found which were all compoundable and had been compounded, fines have been paid. Why did you hide the fact that these irregularitieswere criminal in intent and punishable with imprisonment under section 209 and 211 of the Compamnies Act 1956, And that’s the reason that the Hon. Delhi High Court had stayed the compounding?
