FONRWA meets NMRC officials to demand last mile metro connectivity in remote sectors

Noida, (25/5/2019): A meeting was held today in the morning between the RWA’s of different sectors of Noida and the officials of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC). The emphasis of the meeting was to increase the service of feeder buses and e-Rickshaws from the sectors which are not so near to the Aqua Line Metro. Some of these sectors include sector 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 61, 53 and many more.
In the meeting NP Singh, President, AN Dhawan Secretary General, Sr. Vice President K K Jain, Ravi Gupta and other office bearer of FONRWA were present along with Sandhya Sharma, Deputy General Manager(Operation) and Rajan Prakash , Deputy General Manager(Finance) of the NMRC.
During the discussion, it was discussed that feeder buses and E rickshas should be provided to the residents of various sectors of Noida hitherto not covered. So that they can avail the metro rail services especially, from Noida to Greater Noida comfortably.
Sr. Vice President FONRWA, KK Jain, while talking to Ten News said, “we will be providing a list to NMRC officials indicating sectors from which feeder buses and e rickshaws to be started immediately”.
“Sandhya Sharma assured that routes of feeder buses and E rikshas will be finalized soon, to facilitate residents of Noida”, he further added.
The residents of some sectors of Noida were not able to use the services of the Aqua Line Metro or Delhi Metro due to less connectivity measures to the metro stations with their sectors. FONRWA has requested to the residents of such sectors to give feedback and shortlist areas which further requires feeder bus services and e rickshaw facility.
