Four detained in YEIDA land fraud case, prime accused still absconding!

Gautam Buddha Nagar police has detained four people for questioning in connection to Yamuna Authority land acquisition fraud case. Raids have already been conducted at Jaypee greens and other societies for the arrest of prime accused PC Gupta however he remains untraceable.
Around 57 hectare of land along Yamuna Expressway was acquired by Yamuna Authority during the tenure of the then CEO PC Gupta. The land acquisitions were done on the pretext of constructing ramp however in practicality there is no such requirement or usage of these land pockets.
It was however revealed that these lands were acquired to benefit shell companies floated by relatives of PC Gupta who have purchased the land from farmers at petty prices before being acquired by Yamuna Authority at hefty prices. The fraudulent land acquisition took place in 2013-14.
On orders of incumbent YEIDA Chairman and Meerut Commissioner Dr. Prabhat Kumar FIR’s have been lodged against 20 individuals.
Cases have been filled under section 420 (cheating), 467,468 (forgery). 471 ( usage of forged document), section 120-B (punishment for criminal conspiracy) and section 12 of prevention of corruption act, 1988.
SSP Ajay Pal Sharma has formed different teams for the arrest of accused, however even after 3 days PC Gupta remains untraceable.
