Fr Agnel School Greater Noida celebrates 76th Independence day with patriotism and zeal

Greater Noida, 16th August, 2022: The 76th Independence Day was celebrated on August 15, 2022 at Fr. Agnel School in Greater Noida. The Chief guest on this august occasion was Arun Kumar IAS, 83; Former, Secretary Mines, Govt of India, Gajanan Mali Management Committee Member, Principal Sister Pramila Vas, Administrator Col Josy Joseph, School Teachers and Students were present in full strength.
The event begun with unfurling of the national flag, followed by a group recitation of the national anthem.
After it patriotic program with various beautiful acts begun. Students from the Fr. Agnel School performed a beautiful and exquisite classical dance.
On this auspicious occasion, Former Secretary, Arun Kumar (IAS) gave opened the pages of history in his well drafted speech on the significance of the I day, emphasising on the importance of living for the country and honouring our motherland in order to honour the sacrifices made by our heroes and freedom fighters.
He said, “We are observing 75 years of independence today because of the sacrifices made by our forefathers and freedom fighters, I consider it a great fortune that I was born in a country that is Independent of British rule.”
Talking about difference between the British rule and present time, he said “It is a big deal today if someone joins the IAS, but joining the ICS back then was considerably harder. Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rabindranath Tagore were all the part of ICS at that time, they made such big sacrifices because they realized that the foreign administration was not suitable for an Indian citizen.”
“While a significant quantity of Indian money was sent abroad, the capable individuals in our nation were not given adequate position or respect, But now we are free from their rule because of the sacrifices and celebrating this freedom every year,” he added.
Lastly he concluded by saying that “Every parent wants their children to succeed in their career, and I think you all have the chance to improve your future with the aid of superior facilities in your school like the high-tech classrooms, labs, etc. Everyone should take advantage of this and make a bright career.”
