From Fields to Flight: 170 Jewar Farmers to Board Historic Inaugural Flight from Noida International Airport

Jewar (June 14, 2026): In a landmark moment symbolizing India’s development journey, 170 farmers and agricultural workers from Jewar, including 20 women, will undertake their first-ever air travel from Noida International Airport—the very land where they once cultivated crops. The delegation will fly to Lucknow to express gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the state’s development initiatives.

The historic journey highlights the contribution of farming families who voluntarily gave their ancestral land for the construction of Noida International Airport, one of India’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. Their transition from tilling fields to boarding an aircraft represents a powerful story of social transformation, inclusive growth, and national progress.

Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, who will lead the delegation, described the occasion as a proud moment not only for Gautam Buddha Nagar but for the entire country. He said the farmers’ first flight reflects the vision of a developed India where the benefits of infrastructure and economic growth reach every citizen, including those who made sacrifices for nation-building.
