G.B.U, FICCI deliberate on technological development and industry centric special programmes for students

Gautam Buddha University and FICCI held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the future plans as per the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations.

The major discussions revolved around technological development and industry centric special programmes for the students.

Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha who began his term as the Vice Chancellor of Gautam Buddha University just a few weeks ago shared his views on how he wants to transform the university to a more industry focused institution. As explained by Prof Sinha, students’ interaction with the industry via industry experience in their final year can be a great platform for the students. His emphasis was on the job learning. He said it will also provide the industry with an easy access to freshly educated manpower.

“My focus areas include tailor-made programmes for relevant industries and creation of knowledge hubs,” added Prof Sinha when asked about his immediate plans for the university.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Deepti Singh, Deputy Director of FICCI, Mr. Abhilash Mohapatra, Project Manager FICCI and Mr. Abhinav Sharma, Assistant Registrar, Gautam Buddha University.

The meeting succeeded in having the two organisations agree upon common goals. GBU along with FICCI aims to conduct more Skill Development and Job Creation programmes so as to enhance employability and boost technology innovation in the country.

“Together we have conducted numerous national events events that have changed the country’s vision toward skill and employment, and today we have agreed upon bigger plans for the future” said Ms Deepti Deputy Director FICCI.
