Galgotias University celebrates 75th Republic Day

Galgotias University celebrated the 75th Republic Day as a grand celebration of the country’s democracy, rich cultural heritage and progress on Friday.

Together, the teachers and students of Galgotias University celebrated the “75th Republic Day”, which is a reminder of the courage and sacrifice by our freedom fighters. Dr. A.K. Jain, Dean of Students Welfare at Galgotias University, arrived as the chief guest.

He started the program by hoisting the flag. Cadets of 40th Corps of Galgotias University and 31st Girls Corps of Uttar Pradesh NCC battalion saluted the tricolor followed by a march past.

The promising cadets were presented and honored by mementos for their achievements, by the Chief Guest. Cadet Khushi Kumari was presented with a medal and a cheque by the Chief Guest for she recently represented India in the Youth Exchange Program in “Russia”.

An exciting opportunity for one of the students at Galgotia University makes them proud. Ritika Chaudhary, a cadet of 31st Kanya Vahini Uttar Pradesh NCC battalion, participated in the march-past along with the women contingent of NCC on the kartavya (duty) path of Delhi.

Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor, while wishing everyone on this day, emphasized that the Indian Republic Day is a celebration of India’s journey, identity and democratic principles that bind its diverse population in the thread of unity. It is a day to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the past, celebrate the achievements of the present and envision a future where the nation moves towards progress and prosperity.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, said that while reflecting on the progress made by the nation, it also instills in the citizens a sense of determination to further strengthen their commitments for the future. The emphasis on technological advancement, economic growth and social welfare during the celebrations inculcates the spirit of a prosperous and inclusive nation in the hearts of the citizens. Today, the youth need to play their responsibility and important role with full dedication and honesty in building the bright future of the nation.
