Galgotias University Wins Best Exhibition Award at UP International Trade Show 2024

Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh – Galgotias University has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence by clinching the prestigious Best Exhibition Award for the Academic Division in Uttar Pradesh at the UP International Trade Show 2024. Held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, the event attracted over 100,000 B2B visitors and exhibitors from more than 60 countries. The inauguration was graced by the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, alongside Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.

Galgotias University’s student-led exhibition emerged as a key highlight of the event, which was instrumental in securing the top honor. The exhibition was managed entirely by students from various departments, clubs, and councils, under the guidance of their professors. This hands-on, real-world experience showcased the university’s dedication to fostering creativity, leadership, and innovation.

The exhibition featured a diverse range of projects, with a particular emphasis on startups and incubation. Among the standout innovations were alcohol detection systems designed to prevent drunk driving, electric bikes, and drones—demonstrating the entrepreneurial mindset and technical prowess nurtured at Galgotias University.

A key theme of the exhibition was G-SCALE (Galgotias Student-Centered Active Learning Ecosystem), an educational transformation initiative developed in collaboration with NTU Singapore. This cutting-edge program aims to reshape active learning at the university, solidifying its position as a leader in educational innovation.

Another highlight was the display of four Paralympic medals won by Galgotias students in archery and track events at the Paris Paralympic 2024 Games. Visitors also had the opportunity to try their hand at archery, celebrating the university’s athletes and its commitment to nurturing future champions.

Aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a trillion-dollar economy, Galgotias University showcased entrepreneurial and tech-focused projects, with engineering students demonstrating 3D printing technology in real-time. This hands-on demonstration highlighted the practical learning approach the university prioritizes.

Galgotias University’s iOS Development Centre, the first of its kind in any university in Uttar Pradesh, was another showstopper. Innovative apps and projects developed by students were on display, further emphasizing the university’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and academic excellence. Visitors were also engaged by interactive features, such as a robot serving water and a photo booth, making the exhibition an immersive experience.

This award builds on the university’s previous success, having been recognized as Best Exhibitor at last year’s show, and further solidifies its standing as a leader in education, innovation, and student empowerment.
