The parliamentary seat has a total number of 19,36,707 registered voters of which 10, 77,903 are men and 8,58,730 are women. The remaining 74 belong to the ‘other’ category. The district had 1,881 polling booths.

While Noida, Jewar and Dadri recorded a total 60.3%, Sikanderabad and Khurja, comprising mainly rural voters, recorded a high turnout of 64.53%.

Polling in the constituency was largely peaceful, the only disturbances arising from confusion created over rumours of booth capturing and random complaints of deliberate sabotaging of EVMs at some locations. Around 45% polling was reported till 3pm.

According to district officials, Noida, an urban hub, recorded the lowest voter turnout on Thursday with just 55.4%. Khurja logged in the highest turnout with 65.06% of the electorate casting votes. It was the only constituency reserved for Scheduled Caste voters. Dadri, a rural area swiftly emerging as a new industrial hub, recorded a 63.10% turnout. Jewar, a BSP stronghold, also recorded 63.10%.
