#Ghaziabad DM, top cop don’t reply on river pollution, fined by #NGT

MEERUT: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Friday imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on six district magistrates and five senior superintendents of police in western UP districts, including Ghaziabad, for failing to respond to a show-cause notice issued in a case on polluted rivers causing cancer to residents of nearby villages.
