Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has assured journalists and other employees of the print media he will closely monitor that Majithia Wage Boards recommendations were implemented in letter and spirit.A delegation of the media representatives met Mr Kerjriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia yesterday to urge him to ensure speedy implementation of the report.

According to a statement released by the representatives, the Chief Minister decided to appoint a special officer to supervise the implementation of the Wage Boards award.The Chief Minister directed the Department of Labour to submit a report to him on the status of implementation of the report.The Chief Minister has also directed the Labour Department to immediately set up a monitoring committee for regular supervision of the wage board implementation. Mr Kejriwal assured the delegation that he will consider their demand of Delhi governments intervention application in their ongoing case on the issue in the Supreme Court.The Chief Minister said his government was committed to effective implementation of labour laws in the national capital and will adopt a zero tolerance against organisations indulging in harmingthe interests of employees.He directed his officials to probe the allegations thatsome organisations had forced their employees to sign on documents against them and coerced them to accept lesser salaries.
