Graduation Day 2016 at Pathways School #Gurgaon
Gurgaon: Graduation Day at Pathways School Gurgaon is always a day of paradoxes –there are hellos and goodbyes, tears and laughter, nostalgia and anticipation of the future. And this medley of emotions is possible because it is the time of fond celebration of years of school life of the graduating students and the time to wish them good luck for the future. Armed with Pathways education the graduates carry with them power to make a difference. It’s absolutely special in every single way and like every other year the graduating batch of 2016 took a part of us in their memories and left a part of them in our reminiscences.
The Graduation Ceremony commenced by according warm welcome to the Management committee of Pathways Schools. This was followed by the faculty procession led by the School Director, Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj. The graduating students appeared as jovial and excited as proud and emotional their parents appeared in the audience. Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj in his address inspired the students to look at future with starry eyes and sure feet, tread the unbeaten path and travel the road less travelled and believe in themselves.
During the Awards Ceremony, the graduating students were awarded for excellence and displaying effort in different subjects, for developing the critical thinking skills, for embodying all the qualities of the IB Learner’s Profile and the like. The most coveted awards – the Valedictorian award went to Shashwat Agarwal and Gaayatri Bhardwaj. After the Awards Ceremony there was a video display of the journey of the graduating batch – from toddlers to the steadfast and mature young women and men they are today. It took the students as well as their parents on a walk down the memory lane and made them relive those moments which might be etched in their memory forever or might have got obliterated with sands of time. The very traditional and luminous ceremony of the Diya Exchange, where the graduating students passed on lighted diyas to the student of grade eleven, representing the passing over the legacy of light, energy and knowledge, made the atmosphere resplendent. A mellifluous musical performance by two students of grade ten, celebrating the special bonds of friendship was the perfect culmination to this very momentous event.
