Greater Noida Authority CEO issues directives for Graded Response Action Plan to curb pollution in the region
Greater Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer Narendra Bhushan has issued directives to officials from planning, health, projects, horticulture and urban services departments regarding implementing NGT guidelines to check pollution and invoking Graded Response Action Plan in lieu of increasing smog in air.
The Greater Noida Authority CEO has directed officials to make sure that no Garbage burning takes place in the region and all construction work related processes such as construction material, transport and under construction building must be well covered.
The senior official has also directed for sprinkling of water at roads and automated sweeping of concrete roads.
Every year, during this time of season Delhi-NCR faces acute atmospheric pollution primarily due to burning of crop residue in nearby states of Punjab and Haryana.
