In Greater Noida, fear grips the Khans

Galgotias Ad

Till the end of last month, 23 members of the Khan family lived in one house at Badpura village in Greater Noida, barely 50 km from Delhi. The Khans have been in the village for three generations, almost a hundred years.

But in just about two weeks, 15 of the Khans have fled, one lies in hospital recuperating from serious bullet injuries, and another is dead, shot. The six who remain are planning to flee too. A lorry stands outside the house, with goods being loaded for that long journey to some undisclosed location.
