Some succeed because they are destined to but most succeed because they are determined to. Greater Valley School is proud to inform that Somansh Shukla a student of our school has done us all proud by winning the Silver Medal in 400meters Walk event in the Special Olympics World Games being held in Los Angeles. The event was opened by Ms. Michele Obama
on 25th July 2015.  There are over 7000 athletes from 177 countries participating in the event. Somansh is enrolled in Grade 3 in our Special Department “Saamarth.” He is a happy and friendly child who loves to help around everyone in the department. He enjoys colouring and playing video games. He is very passionate about sports and enjoys running, football and swimming particularly. He is a great
asset and a hard worker in the Vocational Centre. He actively participates in all the vocational activities being carried out in the School.The GVS team wishes him our heartiest congratulation and all the very best for his 800m Walk event
scheduled today 30th July 2015. Principal Ms. Poonam Chaubey applauded him and his coach Mr. Nishant Sharma for putting in their best and commended Sommansh for his diligence. She said, ‘That Somansh is a student who is always willing to go longer, work harder, and give more than anyone else. And has proved that you don’t stop when you are tired, you stop when you are done achieving your dreams and goals.”
