GUEST TEACHERS END THEIR INDEFINITE FAST ON THE APPEAL OF SATISH UPADHYAY

New Delhi, 21^st July.  Delhi BJP President Shri Satish Upadhyay & MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri today met Guest Teachers on indefinite hunger strike under the banner of All India Guest Teachers Association since 9^th July, 2014.  The Guest Teachers ended their indefinite fast after the assurance from Shri Satish Upadhyay that Delhi BJP supports their cause.

Earlier in the day, Shri Upadhyay wrote to the Lt. Governor of Delhi in support of the Guest Teachers. The letter while supporting the cause of the agitating teachers says that efforts be made to give the guest teacher already working preference points in the process of engaging the teachers permanently.

Addressing the teachers at Dharna Shri Satish Upadhyay said that having risen from university politics, I can well understand the pain that young teachers must be going through and I believe that no society can progress if the teachers have to agitate.
