HSPC organizes workshop on KAIZEN

Faridabad: Getting maximum productivity out of the limited resources is what every industrialist wish for. However, equally important is the Safety of workmen and equipment for increasing Productivity, said Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President Haryana State Productivity Council. He was addressing the participants at the Focused Training Programme on KAIZEN Management and 5-S organised on 28th April at Productivity Hall HSPC Faridabad. Provision of safe working conditions, total employee involvement and concept of “Suggestion in the Morning – Reward in the Evening” coupled with 2 minute inspection are keys to success for an enterprise be it manufacturing or service, to grow and compete. During his address Mr. Malhotra underlined the need of reward for each suggestion even if it does not result in financial savings. This, he said, motivates the employees to be a part of the system and effect improvement.

 

Er. J.P. Singh, Chairman IEI Faridabad inaugurated the Training Programme and advised the participants to be ready to accept new ideas. He called upon the members to be prepared for a change and be partner to develop team work habits. Organised and systematic work with Kaizen reduces cost of production and enhances profits.

 

Sh. H.L. Bhutani Sr. Vice President HSPC explained the importance of Training and role of HSPC.  He said that HSPC is actually complementing the Skill Development Programme of Govt. of India in its own way

 

Er. K.K. Narula FIE, an experienced consultant conducted the Training and explained the participants the Japanese concept of KAIZEN, 5S, JIT, Poke-Yoke, JIDOKA in details. In a 4 hour session, the participants were exposed to systems and techniques of KAIZEN. An illustrious 5-S multicolour A-4 poster was given to all the attendees for display in their area of operation to serve as a constant reminder.

 

Participants from Bhartiya Valves, Defence Land Systems, Lindstrom, Kenmore Vikas India, Rinku Rubber, San Automotive, Ess Gee Industries, Chandra Rubber, M.K. Petro Products, Kartik Elecronics, Zenner Aquamet, Richa Industries attended and were benefitted by the programme.
