“Human Development should take precedence over old issues like Kashmir”:

A women delegation from Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, led by Mossarat Qadeem, Advisor to the Governor of Pakhtunkhwa, and Executive Director of Paiman Trust, met today with Dr. Harbeen Arora, Global Chairperson of the women’s industry chamber, Assocham Ladies League, with a message to continue building understanding between the two countries.

Both sides agreed that today the common man wants his well-being and development above anything else and therefore in the 21^st century, the concerns of human development should take precedence over old issues like Kashmir etc.

Both sides also concurred that women should be part and parcel of all peace processes between India and Pakistan, as they form half of the majority in both countries, and since they are also the most vulnerable and affected by the continuous tensions across the borders.
