Department of ECE and EEE, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida is organizing a two day workshop on “Research Issues in Power, Signal and Communication Engineering” on 18th & 19th December 2014. The 2-day workshop is co-sponsored by IEEE student chapter I.T.S Engineering College and ISTE chapter.

In this workshop distinguished speakers from IIT, JNU, NSIT and JMI, New Delhi shared their valuable thoughts on the current scenario related to the field of mobile, wireless and satellite communication, distributed antenna systems, application of machines and power systems in the field of industrial revolution. The workshop was attended by the various participants from different colleges of Delhi and NCR.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Manav R Bhatnagar from IIT, New Delhi, Dr. Vineet Kansal, Director I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, Dr Lokesh K Bansal, HOD-ECE Department, Dr. Vinay Kakkar, HOD-EEE Department. The dignitaries were accompanied by all the faculty members of the Department.

After inauguration Dr. Kansal emphasized on the importance of power and communication in the development of any nation and for a developing country like India it is very important for us to exchange our ideas on this field.

During his talk Dr. Bhatnagar focused on application of distributed antenna system for improved performance of different communication channels.

The second distinguished speaker was Dr. Karan Singh from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi who discussed the importance of security in the field of communication engineering.

The last speaker of the day was Dr. Vijendra Singh from NSIT, New Delhi who focused on the importance of wireless sensor networks and its application in the field of communication security.

The workshop will continue on 19th December, 2014 in which other distinguished speakers will be discussing their valuable thoughts.
