IBPS RRB Officer Scale Main Exam 2016: Things to do before exam on Dec.11

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is all set to conduct the Main Examination for  Officers Scale I, II and III on December 11, 2016. As part of the final part of the recruitment process across various Regional Rural Banks, the Common Written Examination would be written by all the candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary Examination. The result of IBPS RRB Prelims Officer Scale was released in the month of November and the Call Letters were issued subsequently. As you go through the final preparations for IBPS RRB Mains, here is a ready checklist of things to do before you go for your examination on December 11, 2016, Sunday.

Candidates should also note that Examination would be a computer based test and the syllabus as well as the exam pattern for the said exam has been already shared. Furthermore, it is imperative that you download your IBPS RRB (Officers Scale) V Mains Call Letter from the official website well in advance. The list of documents given below are summarized from the guidelines shared by IBPS on its official website in order to save your time. Candidates can use the following checklist as a To Do list and accordingly be ready.

Important To Do List

Download and Print the Call Letter for IBPS RRB Mains – Officers Scale: This is the first thing you need to do if already not done. The call letter is available on the official website. Alternatively, you can simply click on the link for Call Letter for Officer Scale I and this link for Combined Call Letter for Officer Scale II and III. Tally the name provided on the call letter with your ID proof. Please beware that in case the name does not tally, you would not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Follow the instructions regarding call letter: Once you take a print out, you must clearly follow the instructions which would be shared by IBPS with you through mail. Essentially, you must remember not to provide your thumb impression at home. That has to be done at the venue in front of the invigilator. Also be sure that your Right Thumb impression would be taken and accordingly it should not have any ink marks, mehndi or any cuts. In case of any injury, you must talk to the personnel present at the venue. This is important as in case yourt bio-metric information cannot be collected properly, you would not be allowed to sit for the Main Examination.

Note the venue and time of the examination: This is extremely important. Your venue and time would be shared on the call letter. Please note that the examination is only to be conducted on December 11. Clearly note the venue and understand the distance. Candidates must remember to reach half hour prior to the start of the examination. Candidates who arrive late would not be permitted to enter the examination venue. Hence, it would do well if you understand both the distance and the traffic conditions. If possible, check the time taken to reach the venue at the appointed time a day before.

Prepare the documents you need to carry: Candidates need to carry the original ID Card, Original Call Letter, Copy of the ID Card carried as well as your photograph. Please remember only Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card and Voter ID Card are the only ID Proof which are considered valid. Also, please remember RATION CARD IS NOT A VALID ID PROOF. Also, in case your name has changed after marriage, you need to carry either the original Marriage Certificate, or the original gazette notification or an Affidavit.

Check what all you can carry: Remember that apart from the list of documents shared, candidates would be allowed to carry only Eraser, Pencils and Ball Point Pen. Hence do not carry your mobile phones or any other electronic devices. Calculators, pagers, laptops, Bluetooth devices, books, notebooks, mobile phones, etc. are not permitted. Please do not carry them.
