Speaking about the significance of the expo, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), said the hospitality industry is evolving through innovation, collaboration and continuous learning alongside infrastructure and investment. He noted that IHE has become a unique platform where hotel owners, procurement professionals, chefs, designers and technology companies come together to exchange ideas, establish partnerships and discover solutions that will drive the next phase of growth for the industry.

Housekeepers Conclave 5.0 Highlights Operational Excellence

One of the biggest attractions of the day was Housekeepers Conclave 5.0, organised by the Professional Housekeepers’ Association (PHA) in association with YUVA. Recognised as one of India’s leading professional bodies representing housekeeping professionals, PHA has consistently promoted skill enhancement, sustainability, hygiene standards and operational excellence across the hospitality industry.

The conclave featured thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive team-building sessions and concluded with an awards ceremony recognising professionals who have demonstrated outstanding performance and dedication in housekeeping and facility management.

Addressing the gathering, Anil Malhotra, President of HOTREMAI, said that housekeeping remains one of the strongest pillars behind every exceptional guest experience. He emphasised that industry platforms such as IHE enable professionals to adopt international best practices, embrace innovation and enhance service quality while strengthening sustainability across hospitality operations.

Uttar Pradesh’s ODOC Pavilion Wins Visitors’ Appreciation

The One District One Cuisine (ODOC) Pavilion, supported by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, emerged as another major crowd-puller during the exhibition.

Celebrating the state’s rich culinary heritage, the pavilion introduced visitors to authentic regional delicacies representing districts from across Uttar Pradesh. Traditional favourites such as Kannauj ke Gatte, Kushinagar ka Lal Khorma, Firozabad ki Dal Moth, Agra ka Petha and several other regional specialities attracted significant interest from hospitality professionals, buyers and food enthusiasts alike.

Pastry Queen India 2026 Showcases India’s Finest Baking Talent

Day Two also witnessed intense competition during the 5th Edition of Pastry Queen India 2026, where talented pastry chefs displayed remarkable creativity, technical precision and artistic excellence. During the interactive session, she demonstrated signature recipes, shared contemporary cooking techniques and discussed emerging trends that are redefining modern gastronomy.

Innovation Meets Sustainability in Culinary Competition

Innovation remained a central theme during the Street Food Dessert with Innovative Packaging Challenge, where participants creatively transformed India’s iconic street food flavours into premium desserts while presenting sustainable, commercially viable packaging concepts. The competition reflected the hospitality industry’s growing focus on combining culinary innovation with environmentally responsible practices.

Industry Leaders Emphasise Design and Experience

Sharing his perspective on the evolving hospitality landscape, Nirmal Khandelwal, Chairman of FCML Distributors Ltd., said modern hospitality projects are increasingly defined by customer experience as much as aesthetics. He observed that hotels, restaurants, cafés and resorts now require integrated solutions that combine superior design, functionality and business efficiency. According to him, IHE has become an influential industry platform where professionals discover comprehensive hospitality solutions rather than individual products.

Business Networking Continues Across Exhibition Floors

Throughout the day, exhibition halls remained vibrant with business meetings, product launches, live demonstrations and buyer-seller interactions. Visitors explored innovations across commercial kitchen equipment, bakery and confectionery solutions, hotel supplies, housekeeping products, interiors, wellness technologies, smart hospitality solutions and infrastructure products, reinforcing IHE’s position as India’s preferred sourcing destination for the hospitality sector.

More Highlights Await on the Final Two Days

With two days still remaining, IHE 2026 promises an exciting lineup of events, including the Master Bakers Challenge India, Hospitality Design Symposium 2026 by IIID, Madhu Mandapam, PPFI B2B Meetings, AGROPURE Culinary League – Battle of Besan, hosted buyer programmes, product launches, leadership forums and specialised knowledge sessions designed to encourage innovation and business growth across the hospitality ecosystem.

As India’s hospitality and HORECA sectors continue to expand, IHE 2026 is proving to be much more than a trade exhibition. It has evolved into a strategic business platform where industry leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and professionals collaborate, exchange ideas and build partnerships that will shape the future of hospitality, foodservice and tourism in India.
