IIT Bombay to Inaugurate Free Open Source Software Center (FOSS) at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida

IIT Bombay will be inaugurating the Free Open Source Software Center (FOSS) atDronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on May 12, 2016. It will be the first FOSS Center of Uttar Pradesh, being set up as part of Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay, under theNational Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.
The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc.
The center will be inaugurated by Ms. Neha Srivastava, Training Manager, Uttar Pradesh, Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay & Guest of Honor Mr. Ashrey Seth, Training Coordinator Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay.
