ILLICIT LIQUOR GODOWN RUNNING IN GOKAL PURI AREA BUSTED.

Ø    146 CARTONS CONTAINING APPROX 7000 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED.

Crime Branch has busted a godown running in Gokal Puri area and has recovered 146 cartons of illicit liquor containing approx 7000 bottles of mixed brand illicit liquor.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: –

On 26.10.2016, HC Rakesh and HC Sudhir received an information that some people containing illicit liquor in a car, would come from Haryana and  de-load and stock the liquor in a godown situated at E-106 Main Nala Road, Bhagirathi Vihar, Delhi for further sale. A team led by ACP N.K. Meena, consisting of Inspr. Ashish Kumar Dubey, SIs Vineet, Vipin, ASIs Ajit, Ajay, HCs Jitender, Rajeev, Praveen, Rakesh, Vipin, Shahir Khan, Sudhir, Joginder, Cts. Mool Chand, Praveen, Karnal, Nishant under the supervision ofDCP Rajesh Deo and under overall supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas was constituted to nab them.

The team took its position around the area and HC Mangal and Ct. Satyapal from PS Gokal Puri, who were on patrol duty, also joined the team. At the stipulated time, an Innova car bearing registration No.HR 38 P 0929 arrived at the given godown. Two persons alighted from the car and started shifting cartons containing liquor from the car into the godown. As soon as the team rushed towards the car, both of them sensed the situation and ran towards narrow lanes adjoining the godown. They were chased by team members but they managed to escape. Later, they were identified as Inder and Sunil @ Chaman.

On counting, 60×48 cartoons of brand Impat and 86×50 cartoons of local (desi) brand Asli Santra were recovered. The local police was summoned and the case property was handed over to the local police IO for registration of a case under appropriate sections of the law. Search of both the accused person is being made. A case under the appropriate sections of the law is being investigated at PS Gokal Puri.
