Mr. Hemant Kanoria, Chairman & Managing Director of SREI Infrastructure, spoke exclusively to Ten News in Greater Noida on Sunday.
Here are the excerpts of our talk with them:
TN: Indian Metro Rail Cooperation is reliant on JICA for funds. So what are your views on getting International funding for Indian Infrastructure Projects?
HN: JICA and other International government bodies can support social welfare projects. These cannot follow public-private partnership model as goal isn’t profit but getting basic infrastructure facility to maximum people.
TN: Please elaborate about copying of GE Capital Model by SREI Infrastructures?
HN: GE has been in equipment mining business for very long. We attempted to study their model, fine-tuned it and used it in the best possible way.
TN: Do you think India is a shining star?
HN: Our country has so much of youth population and a country that has such manpower and workforce will always have a great future. So India is a shining star for sure.
