Greater Noida, Sept 13th, 2022: Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, the World Dairy Summit is a three-day event being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.

Led by IDF, the summit provides a global platform to Indian as well as international contributors to the dairy sector, including farmers, processors, experts, etc.

In conversation with Ten News, the Chairman of Ananda Dairy, a privately-owned dairy manufacturer based in Uttar Pradesh, Radheshyam Dixit shared his views on the summit and its significance.

When asked about his journey at WDS 2022, Dixit said that the dairy sector is such that everyone from the farmer to the consumer benefits from it. “India is the leading producer of milk in the country but other segments such as organic production, nutrition, etc still need to be developed and WDS plays a huge part in the same”, he said.

Speaking about the benefits of the Summit, Dixit noted that if we focus on the yield per capita and contribute to the same, then it would be a huge game changer for the country, making India the leading exporter of other dairy products as well.

Talking about the challenges faced by the dairy sector, he mentioned that the Indian dairy industry should focus on developing products that are high in protein and not carbs.

“Ananda Dairy is committed to the same and we are creating quality products like paneer and cheese which are high in protein, thus being good for our health”, Dixit said.
