New Delhi, 12th March: National President of Indian National League (INL) Mohammed Sulaiman demanded Home Minister Amit Shah’s resignation for failing to control Delhi riots. The organization also called for a protest at Jantar Mantar on Thursday. The leader claimed that Amit Shah has failed to take a stand on the Delhi violence and neither he was able to take any action against other leaders who gave inflammatory speeches.

However, in response to previous allegations from other political parties, the BJP alleged that the violence was a pre-planned conspiracy and the home minister and authorities took pro-active steps to control the situation. The saffron party also alleged that as per evidence, stones and petrol bombs were stored in huge quantity to fuel the violence.

The worst riots in over three decades claimed 53 lives and left over 500 people injured with the Delhi Police registering 712 FIRs and arresting more than 200 people in accordance with the riots.
