Crime Branch has arrested an interstate arms/ammunition supplier Raj Kumar Yadav @ Raju @ Deva (27 yrs) s/o Ashrafi Yadav r/o Village Mabbi, PS & Tehsil Rosera, Distt Samastipur, Bihar. One sophisticated pistol alongwith 03 live cartridges have been recovered from his possession. A cash reward of Rs.1,00,000/- was declared on his arrest in case FIR No.49/15 u/s 186/353/307/ 380/411/468/474/34/120B IPC, 25/27/54/59 Arms Act & 3/4 Explosive Substances Act, PS Special Cell, Delhi Police.
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION: –

A cash reward of Rs.1,00,000/- was declared on the arrest of accused Raj Kumar Yadav @ Raju s/o Ashrafi Yadav r/o Vill Mabbi, PS Rosera, Distt- Samastipur, Bihar by Delhi Police in a case of Explosive Substances Act of PS Special Cell. Therefore, a team of SI Sandeep Yadav and other staff, under the leadership of ACP Sanjay Sehrawat, under supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and under overall guidance of Addl.CP K.K.Vyas was also deputed for the search of the accused. The team was directed to collect information regarding the movements and hideouts of the accused.

SI Sandeep Yadav and his team visited Bihar for search of the accused and informers were deployed in Bihar and Delhi to get valuable information about the whereabouts of the accused. Information regarding movements of the accused was collected by the team and it came to notice that the accused often comes to Delhi for supply of arms/ammunitions to the gangsters of Najafgarh area, and he also have some contacts in Jharkhand with Naxalites for the supply of the arms.

On 18/09/2016, a specific information was received at Interstate Cell of Crime Branch that the accused Raj Kumar Yadav @ Raju @ Deva, whose name was included in the list of rewarded criminals of Rs.1,00,000/-, and who is a supplier of illegal weapons to the gangsters of Najafgarh area, would come near Shamshan Ghat, Sec-18, Dwarka, New Delhi to supply arms to someone. On this information, a team led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat, consisting of Insp. Narender Chahar, SI Sandeep Yadav, HCs Suresh Kumar, Kartar Singh, Kanwar Pal, Cts Mintu Kumar, Om Parkash, Amar Pal and Sandeep was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall guidance of Addl.CP Sh. K.K. Vyas to nab him.

On the basis of the information, a trap was laid near Shamshan Ghat, Sec-18, Dwarka, New Delhi and accused Raj Kumar Yadav @ Raju was intercepted there. When the team was about to apprehend him, he tried to run away from the spot after pulling his pistol from his belt and loading the same to fire upon the police party. However, he was apprehended by the team by acting swiftly and one sophisticated pistol alongwith 03 live cartridges was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No.161/16 dated 18/09/2016, u/s 25/27/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard.

INTERROGATION: –
During interrogation, he disclosed that he was arrested first time in case FIR No.318/09 dated 7/10/2009 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi. He came in contact with one Harcharan Singh Sardar, who lured him for luxurious life and to earn huge money by supplying arms in Delhi from Bihar. He started supplying arms to Harcharan Sardar to earn quick money and in this way he came in contact with gangsters of Najafgarh area. He supplied arms to the gangster Vikash Dagar @ Vicky through Harcharan Singh. He also disclosed that he had supplied hand grenades to dreaded criminal Vikash Dagar @ Vicky to eliminate his rival Krishan Pahalwan through Harcharan Sardar. He also has contacts with the Left Wing Extremists (LWE) in Jharkhand area, and claims to be their source of supply also.

Accused Rajkumar Yadav @ Raju @ Deva was born in Bindapur, Delhi, 27 years ago, where his family resided in a rented accommodation. His father was a rikshaw puller. Accused studied upto 7th standard from Government School, Janak Puri, Delhi. Thereafter, he dropped his studies & began to work as a motor mechanic in Dwarka area. After his arrest in 2009, he alongwith his family had shifted to their native place when he was released on bail.
The accused has been arrested under relevant sections of law and Special Cell has been informed about his arrest. Investigation regarding his contacts with other gangsters and LWE groups (Naxalites) in Jharkhand is in progress.
