IPS association criticized comments made by Sadhvi Pragya about martyred IPS officer Hemant Karkare

New Delhi, (19/4/2019): IPS association today criticized the comments made by BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur against former Anti Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare.

The association’s statement came after Sadhvi Pragya cursed Hemant Karkare for treating her very badly while she was in custody.

IPS association in the afternoon tweeted condemning the insulting remarks of Sadhvi Pragya,

“Ashok Chakra awardee late Hemant Karkare, IPS, made the supreme sacrifice fighting terrorists. Those of us in uniform condemn the insulting statement made by a candidate and demand that sacrifices of all our martyrs be respected”.

Earlier BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya, who was an accused in Malegaon blast case was reported saying that, “Hemant Karkare falsely implicated me. He died of his Karma, i told him he will be destroyed, his entire dynasty will be erased”.

Hemant Karkare was martyred along with two others police officers while fighting against terrorists during 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008.
