ITS College of Pharmacy organizes Alumni Talk

I.T.S College of Pharmacy organized an Alumni Talk on 14 March 2026 to provide students with an opportunity to interact with experienced professionals and gain insights into the practical dimensions of the pharmaceutical field. On this occasion, Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman of I.T.S – The Education Group, emphasized the importance of alumni engagement in enriching the institutional ecosystem. He remarked that alumni not only represent the success of the institution but also serve as guiding figures for students by sharing their professional experiences, industry insights, and career journeys, thereby motivating learners to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.

Dr. S Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy, welcomed the faculty members and students to the Alumni Talk Series, which is being organized every month to connect students with accomplished alumni. On this occasion, he introduced Deep Narayan, and thanked him for taking time out of his busy schedule to interact with the students. He briefly mentioned a conversation with the guest regarding contemporary challenges such as the impact of Artificial Intelligence and global geopolitical issues, highlighting the importance of perseverance in overcoming such challenges. He concluded by warmly welcoming our alma mater and expressing hope that the session would be insightful for the students.

Deep Narayan, Senior Science and Innovation Officer, British High Commission, India started the session with an engaging and insightful interaction focused on guiding students toward personal and professional growth. The speaker began by emphasizing the importance of having clarity in one’s journey and maintaining a clear focus on the desired destination. He advised them to develop practical intelligence and become “street smart” to present and position themselves in a competitive world effectively. Students were encouraged to consciously design their own “success matrix” by identifying their strengths and continuously working to enhance them. The speaker also referred to prominent educational institutions such as IITs, Symbiosis, and IIM to illustrate the diverse pathways available for higher education and career advancement. In addition, practical advice was shared on developing essential skills such as proficiency in Excel, effective communication, emotional control, empathy, honesty, and ethical conduct. The importance of perseverance, consistent hard work, and financial management was also emphasized.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of 236 attendees present during the session. The
session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which students actively participated and raised queries related to career development and personal growth. All questions were thoughtfully addressed by the speaker, making the session highly informative and motivating for the participants. Manish, Assistant Professor, presented the vote of thanks and conveyed sincere appreciation to the respected alumni, faculty members, students, and organisers for their presence and support. The event was effectively coordinated by Dr. Sagarika Majhi, Professor along with co-coordinators Manish, and Ms. Sakshi. The program concluded with group photographs followed by the National Anthem.
