Playing a mythological character has brought recognition for actress Surabhi Hande who has essayed a negative character on a show before.

Speaking about her character in Mahesh Kothare ‘Jai Malhar’, she says, “It is a very interesting role and something that presents challenges everyday. The way the character has evolved is brilliant. Also I feel I have changed according to the growth of the character.” The actress is focused completely on the serial but wishes to do offbeat roles. Ask her about it and she says, “The role has to be challenging. Something like Rani Mukerjee’s role in ‘Mardaani’.”

Surabhi considers the show starring Devdatt Nage in the lead, as a big platform to showcase her acting skills and loves the complete team.
