Jain Temple Idol Theft : Devotees Takes Out Protest March in Greater Noida, demand efficient action!

On intervening night of 18-19th October just when Diwali festivities were reaching at its peak, the four valuable statutes of Jain idols were stolen from Shri Digambar Jain Mandir in front of Kaasna police station in Greater Noida.

Even after 10 days of the incident, police has not been able to identify any of the suspects or make any recovery. Due to which there is widespread anger in the Jain community and other devotees.

Today the Jain community along with the other social organizations of Greater Noida organized a peaceful protest march in which they formed a human chain and marched from Shree Digambar Jain Mandir to Alpha 1 round about.

In the protest large number of women and children also took part. The members of the protest march expressed their discontent with the working of police department by wrapping black bandage on their arms.During the protest march police was also present in a large number. The protest march was extremely disciplined and members of different Jain organisations marched completely peacefully and didn’t trouble any public commuters on the road.

Community members have demanded that culprits should be nabbed as soon as possible and recovery of pious Statue’s must be done at any cost.
