Jan Lokpal panel works hard to meet Kejriwal’s January 15 deadline
The committee set up by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for drafting the Jan Lokpal Bill met for the first time on Friday.
Chaired by the chief secretary, the panel is trying hard to beat the deadline set by the chief minister for passing the Bill. The first meeting lasted for nearly two hours. A plan was charted out on how to finalize a draft that will then be sent to the cabinet. The committee will hold its next meeting on Monday.
