New Delhi, 19th June 2023: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor started shooting for her upcoming movie ‘Ulajh’ on Sunday in London, England. The ‘Roohi’ star uploaded a photo to Instagram in which her face is partially obscured by the movie’s clapboard.
The patriotic thriller film, which also has Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew in the key parts, is directed by Sudhanshu Saria, a recipient of a National Award.
The project, which is being produced by Junglee Pictures, chronicles the story of a young IFS officer who comes from a well-known patriotic family and who becomes involved in a risky personal plot while working away from home at a pivotal job.
This new-age thriller, written by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria with dialogues by Atika Chohan, promises to be unlike anything viewers have seen in this genre before.
In a previous interview Janhvi had stated, “When I was approached with the script of ‘Ulajh’, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that.”
She had further added, “Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story have so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which is challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre. I am also looking forward to working with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.”
The movie has yet to have its official release date announced. In the meantime, Janhvi will co-star with Rajkummar Rao in the movie ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’.
