New Delhi: Jatniat Ulama-i-Hind President Syed Arshad Madami on Wednesday said to the media talking on Babri Masjid issue, that the Indian Muslims claim is based on historical facts and evidences that Babri Masjid was constructed without demolishing any temple or any other place of worship.

He also underlined that the Babri masjid case is not just case of land dispute but a test case of the supremacy of the law. Every justice-loving person wants the case should be adjudicated on the basis of hard facts and evidence not on the basis of faith and belief.

We are on our old stand that whatever the judgment Supreme Court will deliver on the basis of facts and evidence, we will accept it and we also appeal to Muslim and fellow citizens to respect the SC judgment.

Talking on Kashmir issue he said “problems can only be solved through negotiations and the government should take people of Kashmir into confidence and open the door of dialogue for resolving the Kashmir problem. People’s movement cannot be crushed by using force”.

On NRC issue, he slammed Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist and Christian refugees will be given Indian nationality by amending the Citizenship act. He said “his statement smacks of religious prejudice and reflects that only Muslims are on the target of any NRC exercise. Jamiat has condemned the Home Minister’s statement and termed its part of BIP’s politics of polarization”
