Greater Noida (3rd April 2025): The highly anticipated Adani Invitational Golf Championship, taking place at the prestigious Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort from April 1–4, 2025, has already emerged as a significant event on the Indian golfing calendar. With a prize purse of ₹1.5 crore, the tournament is drawing top golfers from around the world, including both seasoned professionals and rising stars.

In an exclusive interview with Ten News Network, Dhruv Pal Singh, the Senior General Manager at Jaypee Greens, shared his insights on the venue, its evolution, and the various initiatives taken to elevate both the golfing experience and the operational efficiency of the resort.

On the Growing Role of Technology in Venue Management

When asked about how Jaypee Greens has adapted to the growing demand for technology in venue management, Dhruv Pal Singh explained, Technology is basically a sport, and I’ll focus on technology from a different angle. Technology in golf has evolved so much that players are performing better, and the equipment used today is far superior to what was available earlier. The course, designed in the mid-90s by Greg Norman, had a different level of adaptability back then. However, the technology available now is vastly different from what it was then. We have made several alterations to the course while keeping the basic design intact. We’ve lengthened the trees and made plantations to ensure the course remains challenging for golfers of all levels.

Applauding PGTI and Adani Group’s Initiative

Dhruv Pal Singh expressed his gratitude towards the initiative taken by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and the Adani Group, who selected Jaypee Greens as the venue for the prestigious tournament. I really want to thank the management of PGTI, especially Mr. Kapil Dev and Mr. Amandeep Johl, for selecting our venue. We are the perfect venue to host such events, and I am very glad to have such a professional event back at this golf course after a gap of 12 years, he added.

When asked what sets Jaypee Greens apart from other venues, especially in terms of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, Dhruv Pal Singh said, We offer comprehensive facilities, ensuring that golfers have everything they need within our premises. From a 5-star hotel to a fully equipped sports complex and clubhouse, we provide exceptional amenities. Our golf course is truly remarkable, and we also have a beautiful practice range—something that is often lacking in many places. In fact, we have the only practice range in North India where golfers can practice throughout the year. While other places may switch to indoor facilities during winter, we are committed to providing real conditions for golfers year-round.

Sustainability and Eco-Friendly Practices at Jaypee Greens

Sustainability is a key focus at Jaypee Greens, and Dhruv Pal Singh discussed the venue’s eco-friendly practices. Water management is critical, and we have an excellent water harvesting system in place. We have around 20 acres of interconnected lakes, and all the water from our sewage treatment plant (STP) gets collected in these lakes. Even during rainfall, these lakes get replenished naturally. Importantly, all of our lakes have natural bottoms, not lined lakes, which helps maintain the water table. Additionally, we have created numerous habitats for birds, offering them a space to breed and live comfortably.

The Future of Venue Management with AI

Looking ahead, Dhruv Pal Singh spoke about the role of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) in shaping the future of large-scale venue management. Managing such a large area—1040 acres, with different terrains and areas that behave differently—requires meticulous attention. AI will play a major role in this transformation. It’s almost like managing a living thing, like grass. For example, we have 18 greens on our golf course, and each one requires unique treatment. You cannot provide the same care for all of them. With the help of AI, every detail will be recorded and managed, which will go a long way in maintaining the golf course to the highest standards, he noted.
