Today a delegation of farmers from Jewar lead by MLA Jewar Dhirendra Singh met CM Yogi Adityanath. These farmers had given their consent over land acquisition for Noida Green Field Airport. The issue of land acquisition was long pending and was becoming a barrier for airport but with this approval it comes to an end.

Interacting with media in Lucknow MLA Jewar said that “On 3rd August when the CM visited Gautam Budha University, 250 farmers met with CM after that we started getting approvals. Thereafter myself also started visiting different villages as per CM’s directions. We detailed farmers about the benefits of airport, had done regular camps and assured & clarified whatever misconception & concerns farmers were having regarding the acquisition.”

“I told them that there were 403 constituency in the state but only Jewar is been selected for the airport so we should grab this opportunity to make this region developed , prosperous and provide new opportunity of jobs & business for our upcoming generations . As IGI Airport become operational you all can witnessed that how the whole area changed on the path of development. Our initative remains successful and for now we almost had 96 % approval from farmer’s side”, he added.

Earlier this Project was looking to be in trouble as the CM had made it clear that the compensation will also be give as per rules and no changes will be made. He also directed his officials that not a single piece of land will be acquired without the consent of farmers. After that there were speculations that the airport may get shifted to other state. But due to positive attitude of District administration and Local MLA’s the way of Noida Green field airport is almost clear.
