Jewar victims protest amid police failure to nab culprits

Jewar robbery, murder and alleged gang-rape took place on intervening night of 24th-25th may.

The gruesome case immediately caught national-attention which led to senior-officers and politicians visiting the place and meeting victims.

It was subsequently informed that apart from police teams of different districts even STF has been pressed into action to nab the culprits.

However it has been five days since the unfortunate incident and yet no culprit has been caught so far.

Today, Jewar Victims protested at District Headquarters to demand for CBI inquiry.  They have said that police is trying to downplay the cruelty and gruesomeness of the incident by not acknowledging the gang-rape.

Victims also raised questions on delay in catching the culprits.

Many residents of Jewar have said that it is the inefficiency of the police in last few similar cases that makes criminals to repeat these incidents.
