JLN Stadium all set to host Saksham Pedal Delhi, India’s Premier Cyclothon on 7th October

New Delhi: The iconic Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium will be hosting the Second edition of Saksham Pedal Delhi, India’s Premier Cyclothon on 7th of October 2018 and will also create a competitive platform for India’s finest elite athletes. In Association with Meraki Sport & Entertainment and Times of India, Saksham Pedal Delhi will leverage sport to create mass awareness for the conservation of petroleum products.

With the technical expertise of Cycling Federation of India, Saksham Pedal Delhi will see participation in excess of 6000 cyclists across 4 race categories. Bollywood actress & fitness enthusiast, Disha Patani is also set to pedal at the second edition of Saksham Pedal Delhi this Sunday for the Delhitees.

Speaking on the occasion, Onkar Singh, Secretary General, Asian Cycling Federation said,

“We will aim to profess the importance of socio-environmental consciousness by promoting cycling, both as a Iifestyte and as an alternate means of commute, especially for shorter distances for day to day activities such as cycling to work, riding to nearby places etc. Not only does this save fuel money but also keeps us healthy and fit contributing to the reduction of vehicular emission by reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.”
