Key Awardees of EPCH 22nd Handicrafts Export Awards

EPCH organises 22nd EXPORT AWARDS
FUNCTION for the YEAR 2015-16 and 2016-17

Greater Noida : (18/12/2018) Export promotion council for Handicrafts on Tuesday organised the 22nd edition of Handicraft Export Awards at India Expo Mart and Centre, Greater Noida.

To recognize the handicrafts exporter for their outstanding export
performance, EPCH instituted Handicrafts Exports Awards since 1989.

EPCH which was set up in 1986, as a non—profit organization is currently having over
10,500 memberhips. EPCH is most Vibrant organization and having
diversified multiple activities like organising Trade delegation, Fairs 85
Exhibitions in India 85 abroad, Seminars 85 Workshops, Design support to
handicrafts sector, skill up—gradation and representing handicrafts export
issues at Government 85 other forum.

As per EPCH office bearers, "The objective of awarding Export Awards is to create a sense of healthy
competition amongst the exporters and to encourage wholesome competition
through the institution of such prestigious awards. The Awards have become
a coveted recognition amongst the handicrafts exporters and more and more
exporters strive to receive this award. The same has also led to the quantum
jump in the exports of handicrafts from country."

These awards are devided into various categories, such as top export award
(all handicrafts), life time achievement award, Special Commendation award
to stalwart of handicrafts industry to recognize their services to the Indian
Handicraft Sector, Platinum Performer, Top export award (classified in 23
product categories), Women entrepreneur awards, Merit Certificates, Merit
Certificates for Excellent Export Growth and Regional export awards.

Union Minister of Textiles, Govt. of India Smriti Zubin Irani
was the Chief Guest of 22nd Handicrafts Export Award and Ajay Tarnta, Union Minister of State of Textiles, Govt. of India also graced the occasion.

Here are the key awardees which were felicitated at the 22"d EXPORT AWARD FORYEAR 2015-16 6′: 2016-17.

TOP EXPORT AWARD TROPHY FOR ALL HANDICRAFTS FOR 2015-17 was given to C. L. GUPTA EXPORTS LIMITED, AMROHA, UTTAR PRADESH was established in 2001
and is a pioneer manufacTurer anol exporTer of Handicrafts in India and having unique
setup in the handicrafts industry with in—house, vertically integrated facilities for
processing Metal, Glass and Wood under one roof.

TOP EXPORT AWARD TROPHY FOR ALL HANDICRAFTS FOR 2016-17 was also awarded to C. L. GUPTA
EXPORTS LIMITED, AMROHA UTTAR PRADESH.
AJAY KUMAR GUPTA, received both the Trophy.

Life Time Achievement Award was given to Vinod Khanna who’s Journey in Handicrafts sector dates
back to 1996 and he is actively involved in various social forum such as JOINT
Secretary of Moradabad Charitable Trust, Founder Trustee of ‘Mokshadham‘.

He was honoured with a Life
Time Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to The Indian Handicrafts
Sector.
He was also present to receive the Award.

Special Commendation award was given to Dr. A.M.Singh, IFS, an Indian ForesT Service Officer
from 1986 batch of Assam Meghalaya Cadre. He has presented many paper on various
contemporary issued of Commonwealth Forestry Associations, IUFRO, ITTO, World
Forestry Congress, Global Bamboo Summit and also co—authored a book on Forest
Certification. He has also represented Indian United Nations Fourm of Forestry. For his
services for development standard for Timberlake Legality System .

Dr. A.M.Singh was honoured with a Special Commendation Award as a
recognition of his services to The Indian Handicrafts Sector.

Special CommendaTion Award was also given to Vishal Dhingra of M/s SpecialiTy Merchandising Services who started his career in 1981. He is passionate about global sourcing with a
competitive edge. He understands the business of persuasion, and constably
searches for new Trends and methods.

Vishal Dinghra was honored with a Special Commendation Award Towards
recognition of services To Indian Handicrafts sector Through his role for exceptional
matching between buyers and sellers as Buying Agent.

Special Commendation Award (lnstitutional) was awarded to Gramin Vikas evam Chetna Sansthan which has been instrumental in changing The lives of Thousands of under privileged Tribal
artisans of The Barmer region, providing them avenues for Income generation & better
standard of living. Sansthan has many distinguished achievements To it’s credit & has been felicitated by many National anol lnternational organisation. EPCH honoured Gramin
Vikas evam Chetna Sansthan by Special Commendation Award Towards Their
contribution for women empowerment.

Special CommendaTion Award was also given to Najmul Islam who is actively engaged in Social Service
and Through The Artisan Welfare Trust has provided benefits To small and marginal
artisans. He has been instrumental in promotion of Handicrafts Trade in general and
Moradabad in particular. His active contribution To The growth in exports of Handicrafts and artisans welfare is commendable.
He was honoured with a Special Commendation Award Towards
recognition exemplary social services To artisan of The Indian Handicrafts Sector.

A new award was also introduced by The Council for those who have been continuously
awarded The ‘HaT Trick Trophy’ for Their continuous highest performance in The 4Th
year, and is still highest export performance in 5Th year, such performing company’s
recognized for Their excellence as “Platinum Performer”.

TOP EXPORT AWARD FOR EPNS HANDICRAFTS was given to HIGHLANDS EXPORTS engaged in
Export of EPNS ware. Top Export Trophy award for EPNS Handicrafts went To
M/s Highland Exports, Moradabad and SATISH DHIR, received The Trophy.
