LOhri Celebration at Satyam Fashion Institute, Noida

Students at Satyam Fashion Institute took a plunge to organize a function for the College and celebrated Lohri Function today putting all their skills in making designers’ kites and accessories for themselves. Students performed on gidda, bhangra, folk solo dance and bollywood dance as well. There was a kite flying competition. Students made designer kites and had a small competition between them. There was a bonfire dance in which they followed the Punjabi ritual by throwing peanuts into the fire and danced to the fullest on drum beats.
The songs which thrilled them was: o aaja Lohri ve, jana di mitra, Punjabi tadka etc.

There was a sense of togetherness and a spirit to enjoy and share happiness on the day. On this occasion Director of the Institute Mr DP Singh said “I wish Happy Lohri to one and all present here. It was indeed a good celebration put up the students of SFI. It was very nice to see all together as a team and working as their own event. “
