New Delhi, (3/7/2019): Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari today extended his accusations on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia of misappropriating Rs 2,000 crore in the name of school classrooms.

Tiwari said they spent Rs 2,000 crore on the construction of classrooms in schools that could have been built for only Rs 892 crore. He claimed 34 contractors, who had been awarded the contract of constructing the classrooms, were relatives of Kejriwal and Sisodia.

During a press conference in Delhi BJP office Manoj Tiwari said, “The Delhi Government is spending Rs 24.86 lakh on the construction of 300 sq ft classroom misusing the money of taxpayers. The government is spending Rs 8,800 per sq ft. One can buy a flat at Rs 1,500 per sq ft.”

He also said that, “The Aam Aadmi Party is a govt where works are done verbally, they dont have any value of written things”. Referring to a document in which it is directed by the AAP that the tender budget of 221.4 crore was verbally increased to 326 crores.

He said he had received all details under the RTI Act.

Tiwari said though the Kejriwal government had failed to construct new schools and colleges, it had committed bungling of Rs 2,000 crore in the name of constructing classrooms.

“The public money being looted by these two will be brought back,” he said, adding that we would demand investigation by the Lokpal and the Anti-Corruption Bureau”, he added.
