Markets reopen in Dadri after 4 days
After downing shutters through the week in protest against the murder of BJP youth leader Vijay Pandit, markets in Greater Noida’s Dadri opened on Friday.
Pandit’s family, meanwhile, continued its protest against the police probe and sought a CBI investigation. Traders who attended the protest at Kanya Vaidik Inter College later held a meeting and decided to open shops. They said they’d sport black arm bands as a mark of protest. “Dadri is an arterial market for nearby areas. It’s unfair to residents if we keep our shops closed. We want justice for our brother Vijay Pandit. At the same time, we cannot ignore the residents, who are totally dependent on Dadri market,” said a shopkeeper.
