Meezaan Jaffrey & Sharmin Segal promotes their upcoming film ‘Malaal’ in National Capital

New Delhi, (24/6/2019): Today, starcast of upcoming Bollywood film Malaal promoted there film in the national Capital. The press meet took place at Le Meridian in New Delhi, where Meezaan Jaffrey and Sharmin Segal, playing the lead roles in the film interacted with the media.

Malaal is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali productions venture which is directed by Mangesh Hadawale, who made his directorial debut in 2008 with Marathi film Tingya, Malaal is scheduled to hit screens on July 5.

The film is a remake of the 2004 Tamil language film ‘7G Rainbow Colony’.

‘Malaal’ is a contemporary love story between Astha and Shiva (played by Sharmin and Meezaan), who are from contrasting backgrounds and live in a Mumbai chawl.

The trailer of the film received a good response from the audience. In the film, while Sharmin is shown a well-educated girl, Meezaan is the “gully ka gunda” who falls in love with Sharmin’s character. The film is set in Mumbai.

Meezaan, who is going to make his Bollywood debut with Malaal, appeared on the big screen years before his first official big screen appearance. The actor, who is the son of actor Jaaved Jaaferi, stepped in for Ranveer Singh for two scenes in Padmaavat, he has also assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in many films. Sharmin also worked as an assistant director in many SLB films.
