Mumbai, 02nd July 2023: Sufi M K Chishty, national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s minority cell, claims Muslims and members from other minority communities benefited the most from welfare initiatives during the last nine years of the Narendra Modi government.

Chishty, speaking at a rally in Bhiwandi town in Maharashtra’s Thane region on Saturday to highlight the efforts of the Modi government, also slammed the Congress, stating it just gave people pledges during its 50 years in power but accomplished nothing on the ground.

Chishty stated that Muslims and members from other minority communities benefited from numerous Modi government programmes, such as housing, health care, and farmer welfare.

“Until 2014, only 4.5 per cent of Muslims worked for the government, and that figure has risen to 10.5% in the last nine years,” he stated.

He claimed that the BJP and the Modi government do not discriminate against people based on their caste, creed, or religion.

Chishty stated that PM Modi is the only prime leader who has received the highest honours from Muslim countries, adding that “our motto is sabka saath sabka vikas.”
