NCC Contingent of Uttar Pradesh Directorate to perform on Republic Day Parade

Greater Noida (29/12/18) : National Cadet Corps Contingent of Uttar Pradesh Directorate is ready to perform for Republic Day Camp-2019 (RDC) at New Delhi. Preparation and Training of this Contingent concluded today at Gautam Buddh University, Greater Noida. Expert Trainer from Army, Air Force & Navy Wings trained the selected cadets for last 30 days.

Brigadier S P Sinha, Chief Training Officer, and Colonel Sanjay Dahiya, Contingent Commander reviewed the final preparations. A total of 111 Cadets will participating in Guard of Honour, Rajpath Contingent, Prime Minister Rally, Cultural Flag Area, Best Cadets and Youth Exchange Programme events at New Delhi. Chief Training Officer while reviewing the parade motivated the cadets to perform at their best for the upcoming events. Brigadier S P Sinha, Chief Training Officer told Ten News ,“We from the Uttar Pradesh Directorate has been preparing for the prestigious event, RDC which is scheduled to held at Delhi, we are preparing for our contingent from last two months, we have selected 106 cadets out of more than one lakh — NCC strength of UP — it’s a matter of pride and honor for all the cadets to become a part of these contingents, the cadets have been trained in various disciplines. I am sure this will do a lot of value addition in their carriers and I am convinced in my mind that these cadets are going to be stalwarts and great soldiers of our country.”

“Cadets were selected at inter-group competition which was held in August, in Uttar Pradesh we have eleven groups, so the cadets were fielded by each group and they were in teams and these teams were screened and we have selected cadets. Selected cadets were given training over four training camps, one was IGC itself and three more ten days camps which were held in November and December. Tomorrow these cadets, total 106 from here and five more, making a squad of 111 will be going to Republic Day Camp”, said, Contingent Commander, Colonel Sanjay Dahiya.

According to Sapna Yadav, NCC Cadet who belongs to capital city Lucknow, the journey as an NCC Cadet was tremendously fabulous for her, she had learned a lot from the training sessions.
