Noida fears losing its electronics city status

A LARGE number of electronics manufacturing units of Noida have shifted to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh over the last two decades on account of rising electricity prices, deforestation and “unjust” tax regime. Experts say the shift was caused by an 28-30 percent advantageous position which the two hill states have over Noida in terms of various taxations levied on these units.
